CHARLOTTE – The Big South Conference announced the honorees for their annual awards earlier this week, giving
Layne Lambert a pair of awards following his tremendous season. Lambert capped off his redshirt-senior season by being selected First-Team All-Conference as well as a member of the All-Academic Team.
Across the regular season, he had a pair of medalist honors. He won the Laker Spring Break Shooutout at the beginning of March with a score of -1 and then tied for the individual championship at the Irish Creek Collegiate with his -4. Following each of these titles, he was named Big South Men's Golfer of the Week. He finished the stroke play portion of the Big South Championships as the runner-up for the individual medalist honor with a score of -6.
Additionally, he holds a GPA of 3.6 as he is seeking his Master of Business Administration and finished his bachelor's in marketing with a GPA of 3.51 leading to his selection to the All-Academic Team.
