CHARLESTON - Charleston Southern Athletics and Head Coach Scooter Clark have announced the hiring of Logan Miyamoto as the new assistant coach for the Buccaneers' men's and women's golf programs.
 
"Logan has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in golf at the highest level," said Coach Clark. "His character and beliefs directly align with the mission of Charleston Southern University and we are truly excited for him to join our CSU family."

Miyamoto joins CSU with a strong background in competitive golf and golf operations, bringing with him a diverse range of experience from the LPGA/Epson Tour, Titleist Golf, and collegiate athletics. A recent graduate of California State University Dominguez Hills with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Sports, Entertainment, and Hospitality Management, Miyamoto competed as a student-athlete for the Toros' NCAA Division II men's golf team.

Most recently, Miyamoto worked as a professional caddie and player manager on the LPGA and Epson Tours, where he provided strategic on-course support and managed logistics for professional players. He also completed a golf ball fitting internship with Titleist, conducting personalized fittings and data analysis using tools like Trackman to elevate player performance.
In addition, Miyamoto has held key roles in youth development and golf operations, including serving as an academic support specialist with First Tee Orange County and leading outside golf operations at Navy MWR Golf Course in Seal Beach, California.

"It is a true blessing to combine my passion for the game of golf and my faith in the Lord while mentoring and supporting our student-athletes on and off the golf course.
