COLUMBIA, MISSOURI – The Charleston Southern Men's Cross Country team flew to Missouri this weekend to take part in the Gans Creek Challenge. This course is serving as the National Cross Country Championship host later this fall. The Buccaneer claimed seventh in their 8K race at the meet with each of their top four runners recording personal best times.
Martin Iriondo was the Bucs top finisher with him crossing the line in 30
th overall at 24:13.7.
Caleb Kenyon and
Griffin Gillespie were in 62
nd and 64
th with times of 24:31.9 and 24:33.3.
Hayden Goode had a time of 24:43.8 and was followed by
Zach Mickler with a 24:50.1 to round out the team's scoring five.
Micah Gilpatric,
Lin Scott and
Mason Raasch also ran for the Bucs. They recorded times of 25:02.2, 25:05.6 and 26:11.1.
Charleston Southern will be back in action this weekend at the ECU Pirate Invitational in Greenville, North Carolina. The race is scheduled for the morning of Friday, October 3.
