SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Charleston Southern women's basketball team put together one of its most efficient offensive performances in program history Thursday night, defeating USC Upstate 85-62 behind elite perimeter shooting.

The Buccaneers shot 56.5 percent from three-point range (13-for-23), marking the second-highest team three-point percentage in a single game in program history. CSU led for 38:45 of game time and built its advantage steadily across all four quarters.

CSU opened the game with strong offensive execution, shooting 42.1 percent from the field and knocking down 4-of-5 three-pointers to take a 20-14 lead after one.
Tyonna Bailey set the tone early, knocking down her first three three-points in the opening minutes. The Buccaneers extended the margin in the second, outscoring Upstate 21-13. CSU shot 53.3 percent in the period and continued to stretch the floor, pushing the halftime advantage to 41-27.

Charleston Southern delivered its most decisive stretch after the break, scoring 23 points in the third quarter while shooting 61.5 percent from the field. Bailey and
Caelan Ellis combined for 13 in the quarter, as CSU grew the lead entering the final frame. CSU closed the game with another efficient offensive quarter, adding 21 points while limiting Upstate to 15. The Buccaneers shot 50.0 percent in the period and maintained control through the final horn.

CSU also held a 20-4 edge in points off turnovers and outscored Upstate 28-16 in the paint.

- Tyonna Bailey led the team in scoring for the tenth time this season with 28 points. Tonight was the eighth time Bailey surpassed the 20-point mark this year.
- Caelan Ellis reached the 20-point threshold for the third time this season with 21 points
- Asha Sra recorded her second career double-double and nearly notched her first triple-double. The redshirt junior tallied 12 points, 11 rebounds (career-high), and eight assists.
