CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern women's basketball team dropped a 60-48 decision to UNC Asheville on Wednesday night inside the Buc Dome.

Tyonna Bailey led the Buccaneers with 17 points, while
Asha Sra recorded her second straight double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Defensively,
Mya Dotson posted a career-high four blocks, anchoring CSU's interior effort.

UNC Asheville opened the game with stifling defense, holding CSU to 3-for-15 shooting in the opening period. The Bulldogs built an early advantage behind six points from Nia Green, taking a 15-8 lead after one. Charleston Southern continued to battle defensively but struggled to find consistent offense, shooting 4-for-18 in the second quarter. UNC Asheville extended its lead by outscoring CSU 20-12, sending the teams into halftime with a 35-20 margin.

The Buccaneers responded with their strongest stretch after the break, scoring 16 points and knocking down 4-of-7 three-pointers. Bailey and Sra combined for 13 of CSU's 16 points, trimming the deficit to 48-36 entering the fourth. CSU scored 12 points in the final period, but UNC Asheville limited the Buccaneers to 2-for-12 shooting and closed out the game with steady free-throw shooting to secure the road win.
