Tyonna Bailey led the Buccaneers with 17 points, while Asha Sra recorded her second straight double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Defensively, Mya Dotson posted a career-high four blocks, anchoring CSU's interior effort.

UNC Asheville opened the game with stifling defense, holding CSU to 3-for-15 shooting in the opening period. The Bulldogs built an early advantage behind six points from Nia Green, taking a 15-8 lead after one. Charleston Southern continued to battle defensively but struggled to find consistent offense, shooting 4-for-18 in the second quarter. UNC Asheville extended its lead by outscoring CSU 20-12, sending the teams into halftime with a 35-20 margin.
