CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charleston Southern freshmen Felicity Lamkin and Majken Vallmar have been named the Big South Co-Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Thursday afternoon.
Lamkin and Vallmar led the way for the Buccaneers at the Fripp Island Intercollegiate, tying for runner-up honors with matching three-round scores of 223 (7-over par) while helping Charleston Southern capture the team title. Lamkin opened the tournament with her best round of the event, firing a 1-under 71 before carding a 73 in the second round and closing with a 79. Vallmar posted rounds of 74, 73, and 76.
This is the first Big South award of both Lamkin and Vallmar's careers.
