CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South announced Thursday afternoon that Charleston Southern's Katie Stephens has been named Big South Women's Golfer of the Week following a dominant performance at the Battle at the Beach.
This marks Stephens' fifth Big South Golfer of the Week honor of her career.
Stephens led the Buccaneers to a team championship at the event, as Charleston Southern captured first place in the 13-team field with a two-round total of 603 (+27). The tournament, hosted by Stonehill College, was played at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club.
Individually, Stephens claimed her second collegiate title, and her second of the 2025-26 season, finishing with a two-round total of 141 (-3). She opened the tournament with an impressive 69 before closing with a 72, finishing as the only golfer in the 74-player field under par. Her first-round 69 set the tone for the event and proved pivotal in securing the individual championship.
