CHARLESTON – On Monday morning, the Charleston Southern Women's Tennis program hosted the East Carolina Pirates at 10:30 AM. After picking up the doubles point, the Bucs won the first three singles points for a 4-0 match sweep.

The Buccaneers picked up singles wins from Amike Botha, Carlota Farres, and Marina Skegro.

Botha was the first Buccaneer to finish, earning a dominant 6-4, 6-0 win over ECU's Calvo to give Charleston Southern early momentum. Farres followed with a composed straight-set victory, defeating Jeromin 6-3, 6-2 to add another point to the Buccaneers' tally.

Skegro secured CSU's third completed singles win of the day in a hard-fought three-set battle. After taking the opening set 6-1, Skegro dropped the second before regrouping to claim the decisive third set 6-4 against Savekova.

Several other matches remained highly competitive before going unfinished. Brenda Yoris battled back after dropping the first set in a tiebreak to win the second 6-2 against Auerswald before the match was halted. Carle Botha also held the edge in her match, leading Pavlenko 3-1 in the third set after splitting the opening two sets. Camila Molina was in the midst of a tight three-set contest as well, holding a 4-3 advantage in the deciding set against Madi.

In doubles action, Charleston Southern claimed two of the three matches. The pairing of Skegro and Farres opened with a 6-4 win over Auerswald and Calvo, while Yoris and Molina followed with another 6-4 victory against Moody and Savekova. The duo of Amike Botha and Carle Botha dropped their match 6-0 to ECU's Jeromin and Lancaster.
