CHARLESTON – The Charleston Southern women's tennis team has been selected to compete in the 2026 NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament, earning a first-round matchup against the No. 5 seeded North Carolina Tar Heels. The Buccaneers will travel to Chapel Hill to face the Heels on Friday, May 1st, with first serve scheduled for 4:00 P.M.

The Buccaneers won their fifth Big South championship title in the past six seasons earlier this April. This will be the program's sixth NCAA tournament bid since 2015.

North Carolina will also host Maryland and South Carolina this weekend. The winner of Friday's opening round will face the victor of the Terrapin-Gamecock clash.
