Women's Tennis Adds Tunisian Talent, Bicene Benzaied

CHARLESTON — Wednesday, Charleston Southern Women's Tennis and Head Coach Dumitrescu announced the addition of Bicene Benzaied to their women's tennis program. A native of Tunisia, Benzaied brings an impressive international résumé and championship experience to the Buccaneers.

Benzaied has been a member of the Tunisian National Team since the age of nine, representing her country in numerous international competitions. Her experience includes appearances in the African Championships at the U12, U14, and U16 levels, as well as competing in the prestigious U14 World Cup.

During 2023–2024, Benzaied captured the Tunisian Junior National Championship title and finished as the runner-up in the Women's National Championship, highlighting her ability to compete at both junior and senior levels.

On the ITF Junior Circuit, she has participated in multiple international tournaments and secured a significant victory at the ITF J30 Akouda event in November of 2025.

Benzaied is expected to join the program this upcoming fall and contribute immediately to the program's continued tradition of success.
