CHARLESTON — Tuesday, the Charleston Southern men's basketball program and head coach Saah Nimley announced the elevation of Johnny Anderson to Operations Analyst, specializing in recruiting and scouting.

Anderson completed his role as a graduate assistant in May of 2026 and graduated with his Master of Education in Physical Education and Coaching degree from Charleston Southern University. 

When asked about the opportunity to stay in the Lowcountry and continue the work he has been part of for the previous two seasons, Anderson commented:

"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue to work alongside Coach Nimley and our staff, and I look forward to continuing to build and grow this program."

Before joining CSU in 2024, Anderson was a student manager for the University of South Carolina Men's Basketball program from 2021-2024 where he worked under head coaches Frank Martin and Lamont Paris. His time at South Carolina was highlighted by a 26-8 overall record and March Madness appearance in the 2023-2024 season.

Anderson graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2024 with a Bachelor's of Science in Sport Management.
