Softball Signs Transfer Maddelynn Lee Ahead of 2027 Season

CHARLESTON – Charleston Southern Softball announced the signing of Maddelynn Lee on Monday afternoon. The transfer pitcher will arrive in the Lowcountry after spending the past two years at Akron.
 
The Zips are coming off a MAC Regular Season Championship, MAC Tournament Championship and their first NCAA Tournament berth in school history. She played in nine games including three starts where she went 1-3 while posting a 5.19 ERA across her 29.2 innings of work. Her lone win of the year came against Charleston Southern in February in a nonconference tournament. She threw 5.0 innings where she allowed two earned runs and had a season-high four strikeouts.
 
Through her two years in the program, she made a total of 26 appearances and had a record of 4-6. She had an ERA of 5.32 and totaled 75.0 frames inside the circle. Additionally, she had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage between the two seasons.
