2013: Emerged as the Bucs'' ace in his first season ofDivision I baseball, as he earned a spot on the Big South''sAll-Conference 2nd Team...Went 6-5 with a 3.52 ERA which was thesecond best mark on the Bucs'' pitching staff...Ended the regularseason among Big South leaders in strikeouts (70 - 7th) and runnerspicked off (4 - T-6th)...Logged 79.1 innings and allowed only 72hits and 18 walks, while striking out 73 to tie Ryan Gunther forthe staff lead...Limited opponents to a .255 batting average...Wassharp in his first start as a Buc against The Citadel (2/27),striking out seven over 5.0 innings of one-run ball...Struck outseven more batters while moving his record to 3-0 against Siena(3/10), working 6.2 innings while scattering three runs...Workedseven or more innings in four consecutive starts from 4/6 to5/4...Struck out a career-high nine while taking the tough luckloss against Gardner-Webb (4/6), allowing four runs (three earned)over 7.0 innings...Did not get the win but still turned in a gemagainst VMI (4/13), going 8.0 innings while striking out seven andallowing just one run on six hits...Nearly went the distance whilecollecting his fifth win of the season versus Presbyterian (4/19),spinning a career-high 8.1 innings of shutout ball while yieldingjust six hits and two walks, fanning six...Won his second straightstart and went 8+ innings for the third consecutive outing againstWinthrop (5/4), allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits andfour walks over eight frames...Took the loss but matched acareer-best with nine strikeouts at Radford (5/11), permitting fourruns (three earned) on eight hits and a pair of walks.

Prior to CSU: Schroff comes to Charlestonfrom Brunswick Community College and a native of Mount Laurel,N.J. He threw 71.1 innings with a 6-2 record in his firstseason at B.C.C. where he recorded 71 strikeouts and walked just 20batters...His outstanding freshman campaign allowed him to finishin the top 10 in the nation in many key statistical categories,including the third-best ERA in the NJCAA with a 1.26...Prior tohis time at BCC, Schroff earned both First Team All-Conference andSecond Team All-County as a senior for Mount Laurel HS.
