Ran a personal best in the 8K at the Arturo Barrios Invitational hosted by Texas A&M (10/18) with a time of 24:15.3 ... Ran a new personal best in the 6K at the Furman Invitational (9/14) with a time of 18:29.2 claiming 16th in the field ... Opened the year by taking 4th overall in the Charleston Southern Buccaneer Open (8/30) with his time of 19:20.8 ... 2023 XC at Charleston Southern: Named Second-Team All-Conference for the first time in his career ... Raced in every meet for Charleston Southern and placed himself in the team's top seven at every race and was within the Top 25 of the field in four of the meets ... Opened the season with his highest career finish at the Buccaneer Invitational (9/1) as he was the individual runner-up crossing the line for the 6K at 19:10.0 to help secure the team's first team crown of three during the fall ... Followed that performance with a personal best time in the 6K distance at the Furman Invitational (9/16) as he had a 18:54.07 to break the 19-minute barrier amd finished in 21st overall and rounded out CSU's scoring five at the meet ... Ran a career best time in the 8K at the Live in Lou Classic (9/30) as he had a 24:57.1 to break 25 minutes in the distance for the first time in his collegiate career ... Followed that race with a 24th place finish in a field of nearly 300 runners at the Upstate Invite (10/14) as he had a 25:08.5 ... At the Big South Championships, he finished in 12th overall and was the seventh finisher for CSU as he had a time of 25:10.9 ... Finished the season with one of the best races of his career at the NCAA Southeast Regionals (11/10) as he was 88th overall, rounding out the team's scoring as the fifth finisher and had a personal best time of 31:08.3 in the 10K.
2023 Outdoor at Charleston Southern: Named Big South Men's Track Athlete of the Week (4/12) ... Raced in five meets during the spring primarily competing in the steeplechase winning the event two of the four times he competed in it ... Opened the year with a 6:04.04 in the 2000 steeplechase the Charleston Southern Invitational (3/17) to win it ... Followed that outing with a 9:14.82 for a new career-best in the 3000 meter version of the race and coming in 4th at the Tennessee Invite (4/6-8), also marking a new top 10 time in school history ... Had a personal best the next week at the Meet of Champions (4/15) in the 1500 crossing the line in 3:56.46 ... Set a new PB in the 3K steeple at the Georgia Tech Invitational (4/21-22) with a 9:06.50, winning the race and moving up to 4th all-time at CSU in the event ... Finished the year with a career-best in the 5000 at the Big South Championships and a 5th place performance in the 3K steeplechase.Â
