Mistone began at Charleston Southern in August of 2023 as a graduate manager after finishing his potential hall of fame career at Saint Mary's (CA.) in May of 2023. While there, he played under CSU assistant coach, Jordon Twohig, for three seasons. One of the highlights of his career was ranking within the top five nationally for hardest batters to strikeout in the nation during his junior season.
During his four years with the Gales he played in 117 games while making 86 starts as an infielder. He tallied 76 career hits with 18 going for doubles including one home run. He scored 42 runs and batted in 42 runs. Saint Mary's collected 81 wins across his four years, including eight over his first year that was shortened due to COVID-19. In his sophomore season, he hit .371 with runners in scoring position to lead the team. He was named a WCC All-Acadmic Honorable Mention at the season's end.
In high school, he lettered all four years posting a batting average of .321 to go with 85 hits. He was named to the Palomares All-League in two separate years and an All-League Honorable Mention. Mistone earned Team MVP in 2017 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 . On two different occasions, he was named to the All-Area 1st Team twice and All-Tribune First Team on two occasionsÂ
