Cole Sulmonetti is in his tenth season serving in a collegiate compliance office and is in his fifth full year as the Assistant A.D. for Compliance with Charleston Southern. Sulmonetti was promoted to the role in June of 2022 after joining the CSU staff in September of 2021 as the Director of Compliance.

As a Buccaneer, he is responsible for monitoring the institution's compliance with the Big South and the NCAA. In addition to that, he is the point person for admissions, housing, and financial aid departments on campus.

As the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance for Lake Erie, Sulmonetti worked with the school's 19 intercollegiate athletic teams. In his four years there, he oversaw the return of the Storm's men's & women's golf programs and the addition of multiple reserve teams, bringing the student-athlete population to more than 450. Additionally, he was the point person for admissions and financial aid offices.
Prior to Lake Erie College, Sulmonetti was the coordinator of compliance and sports information as well as the head men's golf coach at Bluefield State University. He monitored all aspects of the school's then 10 varsity sports. His other roles at BSU included maintaining the department’s athletic website and creating press releases, recording in-game statistics and oversaw the department’s social media accounts. Sulmonetti led the Big Blue to the 2016 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship; Bluefield State’s first national championship since 1927-1928.
A native of Marietta, Georgia, Sulmonetti has master's degrees from American University in Legal Studies (2022) and Sports Administration from Georgia State University (2015).
He received his bachelor's degree in political science with a concentration in global studies from Clemson University in 2013.
