The Buccaneers welcome Conference USA's Tulane Green Wave for a nonconference match-up Monday night at the North Charleston Coliseum. CSU (1-0), coming off an 8-22 campaign last season, began its year with an 85-74 win against Division II Anderson Saturday. The Bucs feature six newcomers on the roster, including four true freshman and two transfers.
The Green Wave (1-0) opened their season Friday night with an impressive 77-62 home victory over Auburn, a team CSU will host next week. Tulane is coached by second-year head man Dave Dickerson, a native of Olar, South Carolina.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY
CSU and Tulane are meeting or the second time head-to-head, following last season's 75-69 victory by the Green Wave in New Orleans on November 18th. After trailing by as many as 14 points in the second half, the Bucs were able to get within one point late in the contest, but then CSU missed 11 consecutive FG attempts in the final 3:30 and dropped to 2-2 on the season.

EARLY HOME COOKIN'
The Bucs will be opening the season by playing their first four games on home court. CSU is actually playing eight of its fi rst ten games on a home floor (if you include a designated road game at the North Charleston Coliseum against the College of Charleston). Included in those home contests are
three games that will be played at the Coliseum. CSU is now 10-2 in two seasons under Barclay Radebaugh in non-conference home games (and 16-11 overall at home). The Bucs have a 3-2 record under Radebaugh in games played at the Coliseum.

NEW FACES
With six newcomers debuting this season and only three seniors on the roster, the Buccaneers are one of the youngest teams in the Big South. After the departure of seniors Donell Covington and Dwayne Jackson alone, the Bucs lost 42% of their total offense from last season, and will be counting on the new faces to provide some added punch.
In the backcourt, freshman point guards Tovi Bailey and Jamarco Warren are expected to be CSU's primary ball-handlers this season, while freshman shooting guard Austin Johnson should challenge incumbents Chris Moore and Terrance Grier for playing time at the two-spot. JUCO transfer Lorenza
Knight will provide depth in the backcourt as well. In the frontcourt, freshman forward Omar Carter has turned heads during preseason practices and is expected to begin the season as the Bucs' starting small forward. Meanwhile, East Carolina transfer Quinton Goods should provide a strong
rebounding presence up front.

SPRINTING FROM THE GATES
CSU has gotten off to a strong start to its season both times since the arrival of Barclay Radebaugh as head coach. The Bucs are now 9-4 in the month of November under Radebaugh. In 2005-06, CSU began the season 4-1 (through December 1st), including victories against The Citadel and the
College of Charleston. Last season, the Bucs began the campaign with a 5-3 record (through November 30), again sweeping its Charleston city rivals in the process.

DOWN TWO
CSU will be without two players for at least the first two weeks of the season. Freshman guard Tovi Bailey is likely out until after Thanksgiving with a foot injury, while senior forward Vernon Huger will not join the squad until he finishes playing with the football team on November 17th.
