Bucs set to host The Citadel on Tuesday night

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Buccaneers move into their final week of the regular season with four rivalry home games. CSU hosts The Citadel tonight at 6 p.m. before opening a three-game series with Coastal Carolina with major Big South Tournament implications on Thursday night.

CSU will host Senior Day on Saturday as the Bucs honor 10 seniors making their final home appearance.

Tonight, the Bucs host crosstown rival The Citadel with the season series on the line. The home team has won all three of this season's match-ups. The Bucs' win came on Feb. 27 at CSU Ballpark. The Bucs' Bobby Ison and Robbie Streett hit solo home runs in a 6-run first as CSU held on for an 8-6 win.

Ison is the reigning Big South Player of the Week. He earned the honor for the second time this season after batting. .455 last week and 7-for-14 on the weekend as the Bucs picked up a huge series win at Radford. He is the nation's toughest player to strikeout (1 per 28 at-bats). His .376 average is tied for 50th nationally.

Teammate Chase Shelton is also posting big numbers of late. The sophomore's average has climbed to .314 and he's tied for second on the team with 27 RBIs.

The Citadel comes in at 30-22 overall and fresh off of a series win against College of Charleston last weekend. Hughston Armstrong leads the Bulldogs with a .369 average.
