Box Score CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian scored 10 runs in the first four innings to pull away from Charleston Southern early for a 12-0 win on Thursday afternoon at the PC Baseball Stadium.
PC (26-27) scored three runs in the first and three more in the second to jump on CSU starter Evan Raynor (L, 4-5).
PC's Tyler Weyenberg was 3-for-5 with a single and stolen base in the first to set the tone right out of the gate. A.J. Priaulx added a two-run single during the Blue Hose' four-run fourth to extend the lead.
PC starter Brian Kehner (W, 6-5) pitched five innings, striking out five and holding CSU to two hits. The Buccaneers were outhit, 15-5.
Reliever Wil Hartsell pitched three scoreless innings for the Bucs.
The start was delayed by about four hours due to rain.
Game two is set for Friday at 3 p.m.
