Jaret Bennett was named starting pitcher of the week. The lefty threw a complete game to lead Charleston Southern to a 2-1 win over Kansas on Friday afternoon. Bennett threw nine complete innings on exactly 100 pitches, allowing just one unearned run on three hits and striking out six. Senior
Trent Seibert was named relief pitcher of the week. He threw two hitless innings and struck out four of the seven batters he faced to pick up his first career save in the Buccaneers' 1-0 win over Kansas on Saturday afternoon.
Daniel Padysak was named freshman of the week. Padysak threw seven shutout innings and allowing just one hit while striking out eight. His eight strikeouts are the most strikeouts by a CSU pitcher this season

George Schaefer is the second youngest active coach in division 1 baseball at 30 years old, and the youngest with a win this season.
Series History
The Bucs and Bulldogs have met 90 times since their first matchup in 1980. Citadel leads the series 57-32, but CSU has won three of the last five games.
About the Bulldogs
Citadel won their first five games of their 2020 campaign before dropping their sixth. Still, they swept Coppin State before taking two of three from Yale. Tuesday's game will be their first away from home. They've been led by their hitting so far, in Saturday's 10-3 victory over Yale, all nine members of the starting lineup scored a run.
