GIVE IT A NINE OUT OF TEN
Charleston Southern just got through a stretch where they played nine contests in 10 days. The action started with a four-game set with Delaware State, where CSU earned the sweep. Next on the docket was a mid-week clash with The Citadel, where the Bucs were able to make it five-straight wins.

Villanova stood as the next opponent for Charleston Southern that same week, as the Bucs continued the streak with another victory. CSU then welcomed Samford to Nielsen Field and took two of three from the Bulldogs to clinch their second series victory in three tries in the year. The Buccaneers ran off eight-straight in the span to move to 8-5 on the year.

Kansas caught Charleston Southern after the nine games in 10 days, taking both of a two-game midweek set at Nielsen Field. CSU had a comeback bid fall short in the ninth, 9-7, in game one before dropping the final installment 13-1.

SCOUTING THE GRIFFINS
Canisius opened the year with a series split over Pittsburg, taking games one and four of a four-game set. The same result came in the next four-game set for the Griffins, as Canisius traveled to Morehead State. A mid-week loss to West Virginia came before losing all three of a three-game set with No. 20 Liberty round out the rest of the schedule for the Griffins in the early going.

Charleston Southern has never seen Canisius, as this will stand as the first meeting between the two clubs.

UP NEXT
Charleston Southern will continue its homestand in its next affair, as they play host to Saint Mary's for the first time ever Monday, March 14. First pitch is set for 11:00 a.m. at Nielsen Field.
