WHEN IT COUNTS
Last time out, Charleston Southern clashed with Presbyterian in a three game Big South set with many implications riding on the series. The weekender was played under must-win circumstances for Charleston Southern, and after falling in the opener the Bucs rescued the weekend with the final two games.

Evan Truitt had another phenomenal showing out of the bullpen for CSU in game two. Truitt made his second appearance in relief in as many series, picking up the win in game two of a twinbill with Presbyterian. After falling in the first game, it was a "must win" game for Charleston Southern and Truitt came on in the fifth trailing 2-1. Truitt surrendered just one hit across the final 13 outs and kept the Blue Hose off the board to take the win in dominate fashion.

SCOUTING THE DIAMOND HEELS
North Carolina has had a strong season at home, collecting a 22-5 record along the way while spending time among the ranks of the Top-25 teams in the nation in a very tough Atlantic Coast Conference. Non-conference series wins include Seaton Hall, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina while ACC series wins include Pittsburgh, Duke and NC State.

The Tar Heels have clashed with three different Big South schools this season, kicking it off with Winthrop at home back in early March. UNC cruised to a 7-3 win in that game before North Carolina A&T was next on the ledger. The Aggies used a big fourth inning to top the Heels before Campbell stood next. Campbell was unable to leave The Bosh with a win as UNC handled the Camels 7-4.

SERIES HISTORY
The two sides have clashed a total of 15 times since the first installment in 1980, with North Carolina holding an 11-4 lead in the series. Most recently, The Tar Heels scored a run in the ninth frame to beat CSU 7-6 at The Bosh. UNC was No. 3 in the country at the time of that meeting.

UP NEXT
Charleston Southern will play its final non-conference set of the regular season, taking on fellow Holy City school College of Charleston in an away-home-away series. Game one will take place at Patriots Point Friday, May 13 at 6:00 p.m. Saturday's game will be hosted at Nielsen Field with a 4:00 p.m. first pitch before a return trip to Patriots Point Sunday for the finale.
