CLICKING AT THE RIGHT TIME
The Buccaneers won their fourth Big South series of the season last time out in the Big South, taking two of three from Presbyterian at Nielsen Field to stay in the postseason picture. After falling in game one, the CSU pitching staff held the fort down as the offense came alive to give enough support to take the final two.

YOU AGAIN
The two sides have clashed a total of 25 times since the first installment back in 1983. The first meeting went the way of Longwood before Charleston Southern ran off the next two clashes. More recently, the two sides met a total of six times last season, with Charleston Southern taking five of the six while the Bucs outscored Longwood 50-29 in the six installments.

SCOUTING THE LANCERS
Longwood comes into the contest dropping eight of its last nine contests, the one win coming last weekend in a three-game set with Big South foe Radford. An early five-game win streak set the tone early for Longwood, but a rough end of February and early March tells the story of the season thus far. The early success has the Lancers in a position to make the top-six, but like Charleston Southern it comes down to this series.

UP NEXT
The 2022 Ingles Big South Baseball Championship is next on the ledger for Charleston Southern following a successful weekend in Farmville, as the standings has The Bucs in a position to qualify for a top six finish in the Big South and a spot in the tournament. The tournament will take place in High Point and will be played at Truist Point, home of the High Point Rockers.
