Maeva Tahou was named as the Big South Co-Track Athlete of the Week following the opening weekend of the outdoor track and field season on Thursday morning.
Tavou won both the 100m hurdles and the triple jump at the Charlotte 49er Classic this past weekend. She won the hurdles in 13.60 seconds -- just 0.02 seconds off her personal best, and claimed the triple jump with a school-record leap of 12.80m -- the third-best performance in Big South history. Additionally, she ran a time of 11.77 in the 100m to be tied for ninth in school history for the event.
The Bucs are back in action this weekend for the Raleigh Relays with the meet to begin on Thursday and last through Saturday.
