All Six Buccaneers Receive Big South Women's Tennis Annual Awards

CHARLESTON — Wednesday afternoon, the Big South Conference announced its All-Conference honorees for the 2025-26 Women's Tennis regular season. All six Buccaneers earned recognition.

Marina Skegro won the league's Player of the Year Award after finishing her collegiate career with a 15-3 record in conference play. She was also named a First-Team Singles, First-Team Doubles, and All-Academic Team member.

Carlota Farres Carreter won the league's Newcomer of the Year Award after joining CSU in the Fall of 2025. Farres was also named a First-Team Doubles and Second-Team Singles member.

Brenda Yoris also earned a singles award as the junior was named to the league's Second-Team for Singles. She and her doubles partner, Camila Molina Barranco earned Second-Team Doubles honors as well.

The Botha sisters, Carle and Amike also earned recognition. Carle Botha finished the season undefeated in conference play on the No. 4 singles court, while her younger sister Amike ended the regular season on an eight-match win streak. The duo earned a nod to the conference's Second-Team for Doubles play.
