CHARLESTON, S.C.: The Lady Bucs fell to UNC Asheville (25-16,25-19,25-11) on Oct. 22 to go 0-2 for the weekend in Charleston, S.C.

CSU (4-20) was led by Wynter Davis who knocked in eight kills on 16 total attacks and added two blocks. Amy Nokes had a double-double for the second straight game, finishing with 21 assists and 10 digs. Ashley Higginbothem led the way with 12 digs, while both Kayla Klinger and Michaela Luna added eight. For the game, CSU had 26 kills on 122 total attacks (.033), 26 assists, 47 digs, and five total blocks.

Anna Moore led UNCA with 13 kills and Meredith Foster and Cindi Miller both added 11. Hallie Morse dished out 36 assists while Alex Stewart led the way with 18 digs. As a team, UNCA totaled 42 kills on 102 attacks (.284), 40 assists, 58 digs and seven team blocks.

Set one saw Wynter Davis lead the Bucs with five kills. Amy Nokes dished out nine assists and Ashley Higginbothm had five digs. For the set, CSU totaled nine kills, nine assists and 14 digs.

The second set had Andrea Keesee lead theCSU kills count with three, while Amy Nokes had eight assists.

Erin LaVenice had two kills in the third set while Morgan Hadden, Wynter Davis, Amy Nokes, Andrea Keesee and Ashley Johnston all had one. CSU totaled seven kills, seven assists, and seven digs.

The loss brings CSU to 4-20 overall and 1-8 in Big South Conference play. Next, the Lady Bucs will head to Orangeburg, S.C. on Oct. 25 to face S.C. State at 6 p.m.
