LYNCHBURG, Va. - The CSU baseball team had no answer for Liberty's bats, giving up nine hits and falling 5-1 to the Flames in the teams' second meeting on Saturday afternoon at Worthington Stadium in Lynchburg, Va.

The Flames (11-9, 2-0) also took yesterday's meeting over the Bucs (10-10, 0-2) by a score of 2-1.

Five different Bucs had hits in the game, but only Matt Still made it across home plate. Cody Austin claimed the team's lone RBI of the game. Still made it to third when Drew Woodall singled to third base then crossed the plate when Austin singled to left field to put the Bucs up 1-0.

However, that slim advantage was erased two innings later when Haley doubled to left center field, scoring Bream, Michael Robertson and Austin Taylor to five the Flames a 3-1 lead. Liberty was able to add some insurance runs in the seventh inning. Tyler Bream doubled to left center field, bringing Matt Williams across home plate to make it 4-1 in favor of the Flames. Doug Bream singled up the middle on the next play, driving Tyler Bream home to assure Liberty the 5-1 win.

The Bucs and the Flames will wrap up the series tomorrow with a 1 p.m. game at Worthington Stadium in Lynchburg.
