CLINTON, S.C. - Saah Nimley scored all 16 of his points in the second half to pace four players in double figures as Charleston Southern erased a seven-point deficit to top Presbyterian College, 75-64, at Templeton Center on Saturday night.

Mathiang Muo added 14 points for CSU (14-7, 8-3) and hit four big three-pointers as part of another terrific offensive performance which saw the Bucs shoot 54 percent from the field following intermission.

Presbyterian (8-13, 2-9) was led by 25 points from redshirt senior center Al'Lonzo Coleman.

PC took a 28-26 lead into halftime courtesy of a Coleman layup just before the buzzer, and stretched its advantage to 37-30 on another Coleman post move with 16:52 remaining in the game.

CSU countered with an 11-2 run to take the lead for good, though, as Kelvin Martin (14 points) punctuated the spurt with a steal and two-hand dunk in transition. The Blue Hose forced three more ties over the ensuing minutes but would never take the lead back.

The second of back-to-back pull-up jumpers by junior guard Jeremy Sexton snapped the 10th and final tie of the contest, staking CSU to a 54-52 lead at the 7:24 mark.

Muo then drilled two clutch treys as the Bucs began to pull away. Nimley helped create the first off a drive and kick, making the score 60-54. Arlon Harper (13 points) then found Muo several possessions later for another dagger as Muo swished it through from the left corner for a 67-58 cushion with 3:01 left.

Nimley spearheaded another excellent showing at the charity stripe, hitting 7-of-8 to highlight an 18-of-19 tally in the second half.

"This is a really big win for us because of the respect that we have for the Presbyterian College program and their seniors," said CSU head coach Barclay Radebaugh. "It was a very competitive basketball game. I was so impressed by our team's intensity and just sheer will to win in the second half. It was one of our best efforts of the season in terms of execution, intensity and fight."

The Blue Hose took control at the outset, scoring the game's first seven points. Harper responded to ignite the Bucs on a 15-2 run by sailing home three triples en route to 11 first half markers.

Neither club enjoyed greater than a three-point advantage over the final 10:31 of the opening stanza as the lead changed hands three more times.

The pace quickened considerably for large portions of the final twenty minutes, but PC was able to stick with CSU by recording a 50 percent clip from the field. PC also did a better job of taking care of the basketball than it did in committing 23 turnovers during the first meeting on Jan. 12. Nonetheless, the Bucs pressure was able to induce 12 turnovers which contributed to 17 points on the other end.

With its fourth straight victory, CSU moved into third place in the Big South standings and also surpassed its road win total from a year ago. The Bucs continue a three-game road swing Thursday when they travel to Buies Creek, N.C. for a 7 p.m. meeting with Campbell.

"We're in the race, with a long ways to go, but we're in the hunt," said Radebaugh. "We have to continue to take one game at a time and see how it shakes out in the end."
