CHARLESTON, S.C. - A 6-1 win over the Wofford Terriers completed
a weekend sweep by the CSU tennis, who had previously earned a 4-2
win over Iowa State on Saturday at the Buccaneer Tennis Center.
Yvonne Hubler and Alexandra Walters combined for an 8-1 victory
at No. 2 doubles over the Terrier's Samantha Sullivan and Julia
Paulson, while Susita Das and Alia Nour defeated Othilia Lindqvist
and Audrey Coventry by a score of 8-3. Olga Makhova and Marija
Dzakovic fell to Guinn Garcia and Sarah Evans, 6-8, as the Bucs
earned the doubles point.
Makhova earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Evans at No. 1 singles,
while Angelica Sidorenko followed suit with a 6-1, 6-1 win over
Paulson. Hubler then earned her second victory of the day with a
6-3, 7-6 (5) win over Coventry.
At No. 4 doubles, Dzakovic defeated Garcia by a score of 6-0,
6-1. Nour also earned the win, downing Przystawski by a score of
6-3, 6-2. Sullivan earned the Terrier's lone singles win of the
day with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Das.
The Buccaneers will open conference play on Friday when they
host the Liberty Flames in a 2 p.m. match.
