CSU Clashes with Coastal for Spot in BSC Semis
5/11/2012 12:00:00 AM | Softball
RADFORD, Va. - Fresh off a 14-3 triumph over Liberty in the Big South Softball Championship's opening round, Charleston Southern looks to advance into Saturday's semifinals when it meets No. 2 seed Coastal Carolina Friday morning at Radford Softball Field. First pitch is set for 9 a.m.
The Bucs split a doubleheader with the Chanticleers in Conway on
March 28, and then edged their Palmetto State foe, 4-3, at
Buccaneer Field on April 10. The double elimination tourney
continues through Sunday, when the two remaining clubs meet for the
conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. First
pitch of that contest is slated for 12 noon, and will be televised
live on ESPNU.
