CHARLESTON, S.C. - Anna Sells scored her 11th goal of the season in the Bucs regular season finale at the CSU Soccer Field as Charleston Southern fell to visiting Coastal Carolina on Tuesday afternoon, 2-1.

Sells intercepted a pass on the CSU side of the field and carried the ball all the way to the Coastal Carolina goal box before firing a low shot through the defender and into the lower right corner of the net to halve the Chants lead down to 2-1 in the 77th minute. However, the Bucs were unable to put in the tying shot as Coastal Carolina held off CSU for the Big South win.

Charleston Southern finished the 2014 regular season with a 5-13-1 overall record, 1-8-1 in Big South play, while Coastal Carolina improved to 10-7-2, 7-2-1 overall with the win.

The Chanticleers took advantage into the half as Miki Antzoulatos took advantage of confusion in front of the Buccaneers' net to put in the first goal of the game at the 43rd minute. The CSU defense and goalkeeper Caitlin Cody stopped several point blank attempts during the exchange before Antzoulatos found a gap at the 42:43 mark to give the Chants the 1-0 lead heading into the break.

Coastal doubled their lead at the 72:40 mark in the second half as Brianna Panico took the shot inside the box past Cody to stake the Chants to the 2-0 lead.

Sells took one back for the Bucs in the 77th minute as the sophomore forward intercepted a pass 60 yards from the Coastal Carolina net. Sells carried the ball up the field unchallenged before finishing from 18 yards out through the legs of the Chants' defender at the 76:38 mark in the second half to pull CSU back within one.

The last 13 minutes of the match were a scramble as CSU held possession deep in Coastal territory thanks to pressure by Chelsea Frankeny and Sells, but the Bucs were unable to capitalize as the Chants held off CSU in closing out the Big South regular season with the win.

Caitlin Cody led the Bucs inside the net with five saves on Coastal's seven shots on goal. The redshirt senior goalkeeper finished her career sixth overall in the Big South career standings with 346 career saves over her five year career in the CSU Blue and Gold.

Anna Sells finished up a standout sophomore campaign, finishing tied for second overall in Big South play with 11 goals. Sells' total put her in a five-way tie for fifth all-time in the CSU single season standings.
