Jeter sets new PR in 400M, German sets CSU shot record again as Bucs' compete at Clemson Invite

CLEMSON, S.C. - Charleston Southern sophomore Jared Jeter was the top collegiate finisher in the 400 meters to lead the Bucs on Saturday at the 2014 Bob Pollock Invitational on the Clemson University campus.

Jeter ran a 48.54 in the 400M to post the fastest time in the Big South this season, which he already owned. This season, he has already shaved a full second off his top time from his freshman season, in which he won the 400M during the outdoor season.

Senior Richie German broke his own school record in the shot put again with a 14.92 on his third try of the day. He bettered his own mark by .14 meters to set a new mark. Freshman Jacob Moore broke his own CSU freshman indoor record in the event and was fifth with a throw of 14.51 meters. They were second and fourth among collegiate competitors.

Sophomore E.J. Reddick set a new indoor personal best in the triple jump and posted the top mark in the Big South this season with his final jump of the day. He was second in the event in a field of 14 with a mark of 14.84 meters.

Senior Rozzie Johnson advanced as the No. 6 qualifier with a time of 6.87 seconds in the 60-meter dash. He finished eighth in the finals at 6.96 seconds.

Freshman Caleb Breeden ran the 3000 meters, finishing 10th with a time of 9:32.54 in his first race of the year.
