CONWAY, S.C. – Charleston Southern junior Caleb Breeden came in under the 18-minute mark to finish in 33rd place at Friday's Coastal Carolina Invitational.
Breeden paced the Bucs at last weekend's Palmetto State Cross Country Invitational, and did so again while improving his time considerably. He crossed the finish line in 17:50.60 to place just outside the top third of the field.
CSU sophomore Caleb Edgehill also came through with a strong effort for assistant coach for distance and jumps Sirena Williams. Edgehill ran in 18:31.77 to finish in 47th place. Senior Kuaniyal Chol improved on his time from last week as well, running in 19:35.93 to take 64th. Sophomore Harrison Huntley was the Bucs other top finisher, and checked in under the 20-minute mark at 19:55.95.
The Bucs head to Rock Hill, S.C. next Saturday for the Winthrop/Adidas Invitational.
