CHARLESTON, S.C.– The Charleston Southern volleyball team will hit the road to UNC Asheville and USC Upstate this weekend.

The Bucs went 1-1 last weekend after sweeping Gardner-Webb for the second time this season. They dropped their second match to the undefeated Winthrop Eagles. Charleston Southern is now 12-11 overall and 4-5 in conference play.

UNC ASHEVILLE (9-10, 3-5 Big South)
The Bulldogs picked up their seventh sweep of the season when they defeated South Carolina State on the road last Tuesday. Senior outside hitter Ansley Rooks set a program-record with eight service aces in the match, using those aces to propel runs of 11, six and four straight points for the Bulldogs. The Blue and White battled High Point in three tough sets last Friday, but the Panthers came away victorious. The Bulldogs had two opportunities on set point in the first set, but High Point eventually won, 27-25. On Saturday, Asheville fell to Radford in three sets, despite again battling tough in the first set.

USC UPSTATE (6-12, 2-4 Big South)
USC Upstate went 0-1 last week with a loss to UNC Asheville on Saturday afternoon.
