CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Southern volleyball team swept Gardner Webb in their first Big South matchup of the season behind the offensive firepower of 
Rachel Feggeler and 
Brooke Monssen. 
The Bucs got off to a quick start and never took their foot off the gas in the sweep of the Runnin' Bulldogs. In the first set, the Bucs took down GWU by a score of 25-8 followed by two closer games that the Bucanneers sealed behind 15 kills from Monssen and 11 kills from Feggeler. 
Emilee Karelse continued to assist in double digits, tallying 36 on the night while 
Paige Reagor led the charge defensively for the Bucs with three blocking assists and a solo block.
Charleston Southern now improves to 9-6 on the year and opens conference play with a win for the first time since 2016.
