Beeck under par for the fifth consecutive round to highlight Bucs' final day at Raines Development Group Intercollegiate

FLORENCE, S.C. - Charleston Southern finished fifth overall in team standings to wrap up the Raines Development Group Intercollegiate at the Country Club of South Carolina as the Buccaneers wrapped up the two-day weekend event with a team score 851 (-13).

Tyler Beeck went under par for the fifth consecutive round to pace the Buccaneers on the weekend as the graduate student wrapped up the final day with a 71 (-1). CSU was the lone Big South team in the field to put four individuals in the top-20 in the standings with Jake Carter (T-12), Beeck (T-12), Ben Carroll (T-17), and Parker Jones (T-17) all finishing under par in the event.

Beeck fired the Bucs' low round of the final day as the Sheboygan Falls, Wis. native put together a trio of birdies on the front nine and added a fourth on the 11th hole to highlight his 71 (-1). His three-round 212 (-4) tied him with teammate Carter for the Bucs' lowest scores of the weekend.

Carter was unable to keep pace with the leaders on the final day on the course as the graduate student birdied the second and 12th holes, but a pair of bogeys late left him with a final round 74 (+2) on the day. His three-round 69-69-74 gave him a 212 (-4) score to put him in a tie for 12th in his second action of the 2021 season.

Carroll and Jones finished in a four-way tie for 17th in the field as the duo wrapped up the tournament with matching 215 (-1) totals. Carroll struggled over the front nine with a double-bogey on the second hole, but he birdied the 17th and 18th to salvage his round and give him a 74 (+2) on the day. Jones battled through a pair of bogeys on both the front and back nines, but birdies on the fifth, 12th, and 17th holes put him at 73 (+1) for the day.

Alan Smith's 72 (even) counted toward the team totals on the final day of the play-six, score-four tournament as the senior wrapped up his final round. Smith birdied the second, sixth, and 17th holes to highlight the day and put him tied for 34th in the field with a 220 (+4).

Colin Trahan (+13) wrapped up the group on the course for head coach Jason Payne as the sophomore fired a final round 77 (+5) to finish up the tournament.
