AIKEN, S.C. - The Charleston Southern men's golf team finished the final round of the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational on Tuesday afternoon as the Buccaneers finished seventh overall in the team standings over the three-round event.
After a solid performance over the first two rounds of competition, the Bucs looked to move up the leaderboards on the final day of the match.
Jake Carter led CSU over the final round shooting 70 (Even). Carter's round included four birdies, with two on front two on back. He finished the round strong tied for 28th place after going -2 on the back 9 holes.
Tyler Beeck finished up another impressive showing with a final round of 73 (+3). Beeck was the top performer in the individual competition for the Bucs tying for 20th place overall.
Alan Smith 73 (+3) and
Ben Carroll 77 (+7) placed third and fourth on the Bucs roster with six birdies between them on the day. Smith finished tied for 32nd and Carroll in a tie for 59th.
The men finished with a final score of 293 strokes over the final round to bring their total to 867 netting them a seventh-place finish in the field of 15 teams.
The Bucs will be back in action from March 26th through the 28th at The Furman Intercollegiate in Greenville, S.C.
