CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern battled but fell in both matches Saturday to close the 2021 Buccaneer Invitational, 3-1 to both NIU and The Citadel from Buccaneer Field Hose.
Paige Reagor hit .444 to pace the Buccaneers (3-6) with 14 kills and
Dayana Chara had 13 kills in her weekend debut, but the visiting Huskies (6-2) used a balanced attack to complete a 3-0 weekend in the opener Saturday morning.
Reagor added 10 more kills and hit an even .400 but Sharlissa de Jesus and the crosstown Bulldogs (3-1) knotched their first win in the series since the 2016 season.
