CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern dropped its opening match of the VolleyBucs Invitational Friday evening in four sets to Wyoming at the Buccaneer Fieldhouse.
Rachel Feggeler lead the Bucs with 15 kills, while
Peyton Thompson had 14 and
Paige Reagor added eight, with the latter hitting a team-leading .353.
Emma Minnick had a match-high 33 assists, while Feggeler also had four aces.
Wyoming took the first two sets by commanding 25-18 and 25-14 scorelines before the Bucs extended the match. The Cowgirls had a 23-20 lead in the third set before CSU took seven of the next nine points to claim a 27-25 set win. The Bucs then took four of the first five points in the fourth set before Wyoming took control of the set and closed out the match, 25-14.
