Opening Tip
  • Charleston Southern gave Virginia Tech everything they could handle last time out, as the Bucs had a chance to tie it on the last possession of the contest. Claudell Harris Jr. led the way after a strong second half, finishing the contest with 17 points and seven boards
  • Taje' Kelly played well for the Buccaneers in Blacksburg, finishing one board shy of his third double-double of the season with 16 points and nine rebounds. Three of the nine boards came on the offensive side of the floor.
  • Tahlik Chavez and Tyeree Bryan shot it well from three last time out, as the two combined for seven of the eight CSU treys. Bryan ended the night converting all three attempts from behind the line, while Chavez had four big treys in the opening stanza.
  • The Citadel is coming off a week in which it saw three contests in as many days, as the Bulldogs went 2-1 at the New Orleans Big Easy Classic November 23-25.
  • Two of the three contests for the Bulldogs in New Orleans were decided by less than 10 points, as The Citadel opened the event with a 72-65 win over hosts New Orleans and a 74-71 loss to Denver the following day.
  • The Bulldogs are led by Stephen Clark, as the senior comes into the contest averaging 16.1 points per game while adding a team-high 6.7 rebounds per game.
  • This will be the 37th meeting between the two programs, as The Citadel leads the series 19-17. Charleston Southern has taken the last four meetings and Head Coach Barclay Radebaugh is 6-2 in his career against The Citadel.
