The Men's Distance Medley Relay team set a new school record on Saturday and Michael Calhoun continued to raise the bar in the indoor shot put over the weekend in CSU's third meet of the 2023 Indoor Track & Field season.

Sprints/Hurdles

Shawn Langley Jr. placed third in the 400m Invite with a time of 47.84. In the other 400m, Luciano Custodio took 8th at 48.83. Jonathan Lorbeer made his college debut in the 60m with a time of 7.45.

Throws

Michael Calhoun broke his own school record in the Shot Put that he set last weekend. Calhoun improved his school record mark from 17.11m to 17.50m over the weekend.

Distance

The Distance Medley Relay team of Garrett Ricardo, Luciano Custodio, Griffin Gillespie, and Jack McGahey now hold the school record in the DMR with a time of 10:01.89.

Three more Bucs added their names to the CSU Top 10 indoor Mile times. Caleb Kenyon led the charge with a sixth place finish and the fifth fastest time in school history (4:09.53). Garrett Ricardo now ranks ninth with his time of 4:12.02, and right behind him was Jaden Kingsley at 4:12.86, who is now tenth in school history.

Some of the Buccaneers will traverse the country and compete in the Husky Classic in Seattle next weekend. The entire team will close out the regular season on February 17th at the UofSC Open.
