JOHNS CREEK, GA - The Charleston Southern women's golf team competed in the Georgia State Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, finishing in seventh place with a total score of 894 (+30).
The first round started out well, as the Bucs were in fourth place with a score of 297.
Laerke Jensen finished with a score of 70 in the first round. She finished with the best overall score for the Bucs at 219, and was tied for 11
th in the entire tournament.
In the second round, the Bucs fell to ninth place with a team score of 307.
Caroline Engelbredt finished with the best overall score for the Bucs with a 74.
Madison Freeman finished with the best overall score in the final round, golfing a 69. Engelbredt and Jensen both posted a score of 74.
Engelbredt finished second for the Bucs was right behind her with an overall score of 225, which was tied for 14
th in the tournament, while Freeman finished third on the team with a score of 225.
Elsie Verhoeven and
Libby Singleton rounded things out for the Bucs. Verhoeven finished the tournament with a score of 230, while Singleton posted a 236.
