FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. – #1 Charleston Southern finished the 2025 Big South Women's Golf Championship as the runner-up, falling to #3 Radford 3-2 in the Finals of match play. The Buccaneers advanced to the finals following Isabella Galla's six hole playoff victory in the semifinals to defeat UNC Asheville 3-2 earlier in the day.
 
In the semifinals, the Buccaneers were able to get victories from Eugenie Varet, Galla and Katie Stephens. Varet claimed hers by a 2&1 result over Claudia Salvador while Stephens got hers by a dominant 7&6 result over Ally Kerr. In Galla's she trailed by two hole heading to the 17^th and birdied each to pull even and force a playoff. On the matchup's 24^th hole of golf, their sixth playoff one, Galla chipped the ball in from off the green for a par and Beryl Giletti missed the potential tying putt to lose the match.
 
In the finals, Galla and Stephens each came away with another victory on the day. Galla won hers by 4&3 while Stephens was leading by one with one to play. Varet lost 3&2, Paige Zolciak fell 4&3 and Odette Font Garcia dropped hers on the final hole at one down.
 
The loss ends the 2025 season for the Bucs with them taking first-place through the stroke play of the Big South Championships. The team won the Elon Invitational earlier in the fall and Font Garcia was the individual medalist at the Rivertowne Invitational.
