C of C ends the Buccaneer Winning Streak at 12

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - The Charleston Southern tennis team saw their 12-match winning streak come to an end on Wednesday, as they fell to the College of Charleston Cougars by a 5-2 score on the campus of C of C.Â
The Bucs (14-6) dropped the doubles match to fall behind 1-0. Luiza Fullana/Khyanna Singh won their round to make it 1-1 in doubles; however, Tiffany Pyritz/Zoe Cauthen fell in their round by a 7-5 score to give the Cougars (14-5) the 1-0 lead.Â
In doubles, it was mostly the Cougars that got the best of the Bucs. Amila Jusufbegovic won her round by opponent retirement. She lost 7-6 in round one, followed by a 7-6 win in the second set.Â
Next Up
The Bucs will head to Asheville, N.C. on Saturday to take on the Bulldogs in the final match of the regular season. The match will begin at 12 p.m.
