Big South Names CSU Women's 4x400 Relay Team as Conference Track Athletes of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced the winners of the female track athletes of the week on Wednesday afternoon. The Charleston Southern women's 4x400 meter relay team were named as the conference's track athletes of the week for their performance this weekend at the Bob Pollock Invitational.
 
The relay squad comprised of Amaya Johnson, Jewel Ash, Grenisha Thomas and Dylann Core crossed the finish line in 3:42.38. This time marked a new school record and the 3rd fastest in Big South Conference history. Right now, the time ranks as the 60th fastest in D1 this year.
 
The Buccaneers have their next meet this upcoming Saturday with them traveling to the University of South Carolina for the second time of the indoor season
