BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Charleston Southern softball team was unable to complete the three-game sweep of the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs on Saturday, as they fell 6-1 in the series finale.
After
Emma Villaescusa doubled and came around to score on a stolen base and a throwing error, the Runnin' Bulldogs (24-14, 3-3 in conference) scored three runs in the bottom of the third to take a 3-1 lead.

Annah Junge came out of the game allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits. She gave way to
Nealy Lamb, who allowed three more runs in the sixth inning (one earned) on one hit, two walks and three strikeouts. The Bucs (16-17, 3-3 in conference) made a season-high four errors on the afternoon.

Charleston Southern continues their road trip next Friday, April 5, as they travel to Clinton, S.C. to take on Presbyterian in a three-game series. The game will begin at 6 PM while Saturday will be a doubleheader starting at 1 PM and 3 PM. All games can be followed on the live stats page.
