Box Score ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Charleston Southern softball team dropped their final game of the regular season on Thursday, as the Winthrop Eagles used a five-run inning and a two-home run inning to win the rubber match by a 7-0 score.
After playing the first three innings on April 20, the teams picked back up in the fourth inning, where the Eagles (21-26. 7-8 in conference) scored five runs on two hits off of
Blake Holtorf. They added two more in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Holtorf was charged with the defeat, finishing the regular season with a 2-3 record, as she allowed seven runs, four hits and three walks in 1.2 innings.
Riley Lauffer threw 1.1 scoreless inning allowing three hits.Â
The Bucs finished the regular season with a 23-25 record, which was one more win than they had in 2023. They finished the conference season with a 9-9 record.

Charleston Southern will await their seeding for the Big South Tournament, which begins in Rock Hill on Thursday, May 9 and goes through Saturday, May 11.Â
