CHARLESTON, S.C. –
Madison Adamson goes into her senior year with high expectations and is the leader of the Charleston Southern women's basketball team. She was voted team captain on Monday for the 2024-25 season.
The Hoover, Alabama native is going into her fourth season and has been with
Clarisse White during her entire tenure, which began prior to the 2021-22 season.
On the court, she goes into her senior season having played in 88 games and making 69 starts. Over the past two seasons, she has led the team and been one of the best in the Big South in the rebounding department. She has 564 rebounds in her career.
Last season, Adamson had the best year of her career. She started in all 30 games and averaged 33.4 minutes per game. She posted three double-doubles and was among the best in the conference defensively as well as in the rebounding department.

Adamson will be the leader on the court for a team with 10 other returners and four newcomers. The Buccaneers began preseason practice on Monday and open the season with an exhibition in The Buc Dome against North Greenville on Oct. 30. They open the regular season on the road against North Carolina on November 4.
