CHARLESTON – Two weeks after their first fall tournament, the Charleston Southern Women's Tennis team traveled to Conway, South Carolina to compete against Appalachian State, Campbell, Coastal Carolina and Georgia Southern in the 2025 Battle at the Beach event.

CSU returner Marina Skegro delivered an outstanding performance over the weekend, finishing with a team-best 5-1 overall record across Saturday and Sunday. Both Skegro and fellow returner Brenda Yoris dominated the singles court, each achieving perfect 3-0 records.

Head Coach Anca Dimitrecu's talented freshmen duo, Amike Botha and Alexia-Shara Iancu, built on their strong showings at the CSU Invitational with another successful weekend in Conway. Botha went 3-1 overall, while Iancu posted a 3-2 record.

The only other returner from last season's Big South championship squad, Carle Botha, won two of her three singles matches, including victories against both Campbell opponents she faced.
