Charleston Southern Softball Signs Arizona Standout Halle Davis
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern Softball and Head Coach Christi Musser are excited to announce the signing of Halle Davis, a dynamic middle infielder from Gilbert, Arizona, as part of the Buccaneers' 2026 recruiting class.
Davis joins Charleston Southern from Desert Ridge High School, where she is a four-year varsity starter, scholar athlete, and First Team All-Region selection. Competing with Storm, one of Arizona's top travel programs, she has developed into a reliable defender with smooth hands, a strong arm, and advanced quickness up the middle. Offensively, she brings power from the right side and a competitive mentality that elevates those around her.
In the classroom, Davis carries an impressive 3.9 GPA and plans to major in Business at Charleston Southern. Her impact extends beyond softball through extensive community service, including volunteering with Feed My Starving Children, the Down Syndrome Walk, Believe Beyond Ability, coaching young athletes, the GyeDi Challenge Games, and multiple adaptive softball events.
Why She Chose Charleston Southern
"I chose to attend Charleston Southern because I wanted to be a part of a community that not only focuses on growing my academics and athletics, but also my faith as a Christian. The coaches and teammates I met there were so kind, supportive, and welcoming, which made me feel like I was part of a family away from home. On top of that, the campus and environment are beautiful, and being from Arizona, I'm excited to live where there is a beach!"
From Head Coach Christi Musser
"I am so excited about Halle making her way to South Carolina from Arizona. She is an excellent defender bringing good hands, a strong arm and quick feet to the middle infield positions. With Emma Villaescusa and Lorenzza Marcacci graduating we needed to bring in an athlete that could compete right away, and Halle can certainly do that. She also brings power to our lineup from the right side of the plate. Halle is going to have an amazing career in a Buc uniform."
Davis becomes a key piece of CSU's 2026 class—one that strengthens the program's future with talent, character, and a shared commitment to the Buccaneer culture.
